You may need to leave a detailed voicemail. Appointments can be made without the need for a referral from a primary care provider. Surgical abortions are available for pregnancies up to 13 weeks, or up to 16 weeks depending on physician availability. The clinic also provides medical abortions up to 9 weeks, IUD insertion/removal, contraceptive implants, and emergency contraception. [3]

Cost: Canadian students who do not have a New Brunswick Medicare card can still get a surgical abortion covered under insurance – your home province will be billed for the surgery. Medical abortions are only covered under New Brunswick Medicare, so if you are covered under another province you will have to pay $300-$450 for the medication. Surgical abortions not covered under health insurance cost $500-$1,000 [4].
